Is using Jamor's sports facilities free of charge? If I want to spend a day at Jamor, what can I do?

The Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor (CDNJ) offers its users a wide variety of sports facilities. Some are free to use, others are subject to prior reservation and payment of a fee.

The CDNJ also promotes the Jamor para Todos project, in which free activities are regularly carried out with a technical framework. You can consult all the information about the Jamor para Todos project here.

 

What is the Jamor for All project?

The Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor (CDNJ) aims to give its users access to as wide a range of activities as possible with an adequate technical framework and to quality and attractive spaces and equipment.

The Jamor para Todos project is based on four major vectors, three of which are aimed directly at users: spaces and equipment for free use, technically framed activities open to all users, events open to all participants, and an opening project from the CDNJ to the surrounding community, aimed at collective entities, the PAALCO Jamor – Support Project for Local Associations in the Municipality of Oeiras.

What is the PAALCO Jamor project?

PAALCO Jamor – Support Project for Local Associations of the Municipality of Oeiras aims to provide space and support the holding of activities and events predominantly outdoors, developed by associations, clubs and local communities in the CDNJ space, which promote various awareness-raising and information on the activities that these entities carry out with the population of all age groups, namely in a context of healthy habits and lifestyles.

How can I organize an event on Jamor?

The procedure involves sending an email to reservas.jamor@ipdj.pt, indicating what you want, with as much detail as possible. The events team of Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor (CDNJ) will then follow up on the matter.

 

How can I book a football, rugby or hockey field at Jamor?

To make a reservation, you can use the e-mail address reservas.jamor@ipdj.pt , indicating the type of field you want, the date and time for which you wat the reservation, and the purpose for which it is intended (game, training, commercial nature event).

Can I use the Jamor Pool Complex?

The Jamor Swimming Pool Complex offers users the possibility of free use and also has a swimming school.

Can I practice shooting at Jamor?

The use of the Jamor Shooting Range is only possible for federated shooters or members of the security forces.

If you are not yet a federated shooter, you must register at a club affiliated with the Portuguese Shooting Federation (fptiro@fptiro.net).

Can I practice archery at Jamor?

Activities at the archery range in Jamor are promoted by the Portuguese Archery Federation (FPTA).

If you want to practice archery, you should consult the FPTA (https://www.fpta.pt/contactos/), which will provide all the necessary information.

 

How can I book a tennis court on Jamor?

In the scope of a usage agreement signed between the IPDJ and the Portuguese Tennis Federation (FPT), the operation of the Tennis Training Center is currently carried out by the FPT.

How can I play golf at Jamor?

The National Golf Training Center is part of the Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor (CDNJ), but currently the management of this infrastructure is in the hands of the Portuguese Golf Federation (FPG).

How can I canoe in Jamor?

The Nautical Activities Track (PAN) is an installation specially designed for the practice of Canoeing in the recreational, learning and training aspects of federated canoeists. This installation is also used for training and regattas of remote-controlled sailing boats, among other nautical activities. The track is also widely used by paddle board users (Stand Up Paddle).

How can I use the Athletics track in Jamor?

At Jamor we have two athletics tracks: track no. 1, at the National Stadium, which can be used by all users, at different times (except when we have games or other activities that prevent it).

The track can be used by any users, but there are special conditions for clubs. The track can also be used by registering at the Jamor Marching and Running Center – Professor Pedro Rocha.

Athletics track no. 2, in the Athletics Training Center of CAR Jamor, is intended for high-performance athletes.

How can I practice Mini golf?

The Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor (CDNJ) has two different mini golf circuits with 18 holes each. One of the circuits, from the Nordic countries, is made up of large synthetic turf tracks that make it highly motivating as the various obstacles are overcome.

Can I play Basketball at Jamor?

The Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor (CDNJ) has two multisports fields, which are intended for the practice of Basketball. These are free-use facilities, except in the case of reservations for the exclusive use of the fields.

Can I skate or cycle on Jamor?

The Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor (CDNJ) has a wide network of accessible routes, where it is possible to walk or ride a bicycle or rollerblade.

In Jamor, the Eixo Verde e Azul also made it possible to create a green corridor with an integrated pedestrian lane along the Jamor River, from Cruz Quebrada to Nossa Senhora da Rocha.

The Eixo Verde e Azul is an inter-municipal project that aims to facilitate the access of populations to the enjoyment of Nature and heritage through the creation of green spaces and the implementation of a smooth mobility circuit along three municipalities (Amadora, Oeiras and Sintra).

 

What is the Eixo Verde e Azul?

The Eixo Verde e Azul is an inter-municipal project that aims to facilitate the access of populations to the enjoyment of Nature and heritage through the creation of green spaces and the implementation of a smooth mobility circuit along three municipalities (Amadora, Oeiras and Sintra).

Can I practice Climbing in Jamor?

The Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor (CDNJ) has an Artificial Climbing Structure.

The individual use of the Artificial Climbing Structure is only allowed to users holding the respective federative license and with sports insurance appropriate to the modality. The use by collective entities is only allowed when properly framed by technicians recognized by the Federation of Camping and Mountaineering of Portugal (FCMP).

Can I practice mountain biking at Jamor?

The Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor (CDNJ) has a MTB track - "XCO" - Olympic Cross Country, an installation intended for the practice of this Olympic sport that provides suitable routes for the practice of this discipline, in safety and with the recommended characteristics for the holding of official competition tests.

Can I hike in Jamor?

The Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor (CDNJ) offers four pedestrian routes with different degrees of difficulty, which can be covered informally or under the guidance of specialized technicians.

The degree of difficulty of the routes is determined by the accumulated unevenness and the type of terrain on which they are found.

Can I do maintenance run on Jamor?

The Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor (CDNJ) has two Outdoor Fitness Parks, in two spaces with identical stations, but with different physical characteristics, one of which is located in a forested area (the west forest - next to the National Stadium), allowing users to enjoy r of a heavily wooded area and greater contact with nature and the other in the area of Parque Urbano do Jamor, more accessible and flat and with greater visibility over the entire length of the circuit.

Is it possible to do study tours in Jamor?

The Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor (CDNJ) regularly organizes study visits for educational establishments. These visits usually consist of a presentation about the CDNJ, its history and mission, followed by a visit to our most emblematic facilities. Visits are free of charge and last approximately two hours. As a rule, we limit the size of groups to a maximum of 40 students.

To book, you can use the email reservas.jamor@ipdj.pt , identifying the educational establishment, the academic level of the students, the date and time for which the visit is intended, and the number of students and teachers who will participate.

 

How can I do tree climbing in Jamor?

The Adventure Park, although located in the CDNJ space, is a private enterprise: it does not belong to the IPDJ/CDNJ.
