ROTARY RUN 5 KM
The second edition of the ROTARY RUN 5 KM will be held next Sunday, March 18th, at 10:00 am, at the National Stadium of the Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor (CDNJ).
As in the first edition, last year, it is a non-competitive, non-profit race / walk of 5 km, which has the support of the CDNJ.
This race/walk, is organized by the Rotaract Club de Oeiras, Rotary's partner club and aims to support Malaria prevention in a country belonging to the PALOP countries (Angola, the country with a higher percentage of Malaria cases) through the application of mosquito nets.
This objective was the result of the donation by the Rotary Club of Oeiras, Rotary International and other clubs from various parts of the world to the IMM (Instituto Medicina Molecular da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa) through donation to the completion of the laboratories of a new Insectarium and its equipment in the scope of the study of this disease.
